right my m8 recently got a gsi drove it for a week cost him £2000
then it started to only kick in over 3k revs
took it to vauxhall they said sumat about pistons i dont really no wat is 100% wrong wiv it now they have rang up him up again and said sumat 2 do with pistons crankshaft maybe ? anyway vaux bloke said he needs new bottom end or they would be tapping noise when he drives around.
do you think vaux are ripping him off i no i havnt explained what is wrong as i cant 100% remember but alot of mula told him he shuda just put 2.0 in

Im sure a 1.6 engine conversion is £700, done by Beardy or Lee Mitchell. I wouldn't get it done at Vaux, but it sounds like big end bearings, what you describe.

yeh that sounds like it sort of remember him saying i must of had it on its last bearings
