Does anyone else have problems filling up their petrol with the constant "clicking" of the pumps that stops the petrol going in?
Me mate told me it only happens to tell you that the tanks full, but I had an empty tank before and it was clicking like fuck and it took me ages to fill it up. I was just having to slightly press the handle in and watch the price meter go up slooooooooow as fuck.
Is this a problem with the car, the pumps or what?
It happens all the time.
Cheers

My girlfriends corsa does this no matter how you put the nozzle in.
I assume its a blocked breather or something along those lines.

I think it does this because the fuel pump hose has sensors that tell it when the tank is full, but can also set the sensor off because as u fill the tank the fuel forces air in the tank out the hole so clicking off the pump.As someone said above u need to pull the hose back a bit to let the air/fumes to escape, and sometimes release the hose pressure as it stops the air escaping.

And don't have the pump on 'full throttle' - this helps too
