Im looking round for a corsa C 1.2 sxi, and was wondering if there are any weak points on them that i need to be aware of and watch out for.

Steering rack

as said steering rack check to see if it knocks when turning the wheel left.drivers seat tend to wear quite bad.apart from that no real problems

also gear linkages as they tend to fuk up, but as chewy and diddon said, steering rack is what to watch out for. Sit inthe car when stationary and turn the wheel left andright, if u can hear a clonking or knocking noise it means ur rack is fooked.

Also watch out for gear adjustment, try and put the car into first whilst its still doing around 5-10mph (as you would do in traffic after slowing down) Quite often they don't wanna go into first at all

Mine needed a new clutch pedal box at less than 3000 miles The guy at the dealer said this was a common problem too.

thats not a problem thats normal, well is on b's anyway, its to stop u accidently going into 1st.

this is not a problem. that is normal. most cars are like this

The problem on the C is that it wont go in anygear, and you keep having to put in another gear then back to the one you wanted. Common on changing down into 2nd

I only ever have this problem when going into reverse, everyother gear is fine.
