fit a aftermarket inlet - i.e. velos torque tube or manztel power box

velos torque tube, 20 bhp for £285 quid

drill airbox, can change exhaust, not too big a bore though

dont bother with chip unless you get cams.

Kris - I would of thought a chip mapped would be quite helpful after getting a new inlet manifold

A pair or 40mm parallel throttle bodies on a std engine with ARP's and a tubular exhaust will give it some poke, but that's the best part of 1500 notes. Here's the result:


But to make it really nippy I suggest you put it in a nova, it will deciamate any corsa.

nearly as fast as a c20xe corsa up to 80mph, just hasnt got the torque

no its the whole point, tune a 1400 to beat c20xe,

sooo many now its boring, do something diffrent

ok with endless cash supply but who has one of them? what i'm after overall is a clean subtle lookin motor with a bit of poke, till some points expire that is

Dans a bit of a mincer and never got round to taping up him loom. If you want a the car a little faster but no noise or compramise then a larger engine is the only way forward, no replacement for displacement unfortunately. MAybe grin and bare it till you can afford a 20XE. that corsa is soon to be a running a 200BHP XE, not fast enough with that 1.4 in aparently, shame it won't turn anymore

well various bits of mi 1.4 8v are goin to pot so i sorted a cheap 16v lump out, gunna stick with it till i import sumthin within the next 18months or so
