I have a task for you. Whilst watching bbc 1 at 2am the other night, they were conducting experiments about taste. They said that the taste of tea is all in the smell, they got a volunteer and covered his nose then got him to drink some tea. He couldnt taste it as the flavour was in the smell.

I cant stand tea so somebody try it

Although if i cover my nose up surely i wont taste it imo!!

i saw something like that on richardy and judy once, made me think it was an interesting program but turned out it was just a rare occasion.

You need air coming through your nose to taste anything!!!!

Try this:

Drink or eat something strong tasting, and keep switching from having a held nose to not holding your nose - you find that the taste comes and goes.

I always hold my nose when drinking absynthe!!

Cant remember exactly why it happens but I know its something like if the noses pipe to the mouth is blocked the taste buds dont get the oxygen they need to register taste. Thats why you cant taste anything when ya have a bad cold!
