Yesterday it just went blank, when i knocked it it reset itself, so i set the time and date and 5 mins later did it again. Just taken it out to see if the plug is loose but it seems ok, and is only coming on now with the lights. Anyone know whats wrong with it? or does anyone have a cheap spare one going?

this is how mine is behaving, the plug that plugs into the back of the mfd has come loose, not the male part but the femal part, the pins actually come away from the circuite board so some carful soldering is needed

you will probably find that a second hand one will have the same problem cos the plugs are soldered on badly from the factory and the plugs are in really tight.

just had a look and the plug is loose so am gluing it to the board with a few dots hopefully will hold it. Dont have a soldering iron good enough to do it that way.
