Drain oil, take out bolts, take off old sump, quick wipe round, new gasket and sump on. Tighten bolts, job done.
No more than 30 mins including draining time...

ya carnt do it without removing the down pipes can ya cos of the oil feed pick up in the sump, it gets caught on the baffle plates inside the sump and takes some right jiggery pockery to get off, might be wrong

Down pipe needs dropping. You should also thread lock the sump bolts.
I had a 4 branch on mine though which probably made it harder.
I ran a tap in all mine to clean out the old thread lock as well.

Did this lastnight. Got all bolts off bar 1, which would not come out. Tried everything. All types of tools to get it out. Put wd40 and plus gas on it. Still would not come. Tried for an hour to get this bolt off. In the end I got an air gun to it and still wont come out!
In the end I put it all back together and I am going to put it into a garage! Not a Vauxhall garage though! LOL

did you try heating it up with a heat gun? Might work

I got caped in oil so much that it has annoyed me, so I am going round garages at lunch to get someone to change the sump for me and get the bolt off.
