i was watchin the fast and the furious and 2 fast 2 furious earlier and like thte fact that in the second one they have the screens telling them info about the car, how is this done?

...well, on a corsa you can buy kits that will like a pc to the ecu. Then its a simple case of designing a programme to to get info from the ecu...which is possible and you can get stuff like RPM, current speed, fuel ratios etc etc
I believe, you can also change things as well 
Have a butchers around google, i can across a site where a bloke was selling a kit for ecu's for around the 20-40 quid area and had some software to get simple information back
