Is it me or is Owen looking, well, a bit shitty at the moment. Personally I dont see how he can expect a place in the starting line up given his recent performances which quite frankly have been sub standard at best. Maybe it's time for a change and surely giving young Vassell a start against Croatia wouldn't be a bad idea. He looked quality when he came on last night and at least he tried which is something Owen couldn't be bothered to do. I've always been of the opinion that Owen is overated and that he relied on his pace, but now even he admits thats gone and with it his biggest strength meaning he is no longer the player he once was. All just my opinions mind lads and lasses and was just interested what other peoples thought were

But what is the point of playing him when he's out of form when we are approaching the knockout stages of a tournment. I could understand percevering with him in the league but in a knockout competition you need player who are on form now.

I think Erikson will play Vassell next game, Owen just looks out of place.

Hargreaves is looking better as well, never used to be a fan of his but he runs at players which a lot of other England players are scared to do.

Couldn't agree with you more mate, I've never been a big fan of his but he has looked alot more effective than the like of Lampard and Scholes when he's came on. He just get on with it and is quietly make a very strong case for himself imo.

I watch Scholes and all the time he is drifting inside and giving them room to attack down our left flank, with Hargreaves it makes it more difficult for the opposition to do that.
