thats me car on 13's at the min, however I had a set of 17's on their for a while as its a work in progress.

However I went to take it for its MOT and was getting rubbing on the rear wheel arch (drivers side) took wheel off and grinded off part of the edge of the plastic arch cover then noticed that the actual wheel was rubbing on the inner arch as in the metal on the inside
all the other wheels are fine including the passenger side rear wheel so wtf is going on with this wheel???
I've decided im probebly gonna have to raise the rear suspension but I just wanted to know if any1 knew how low it was before i did???

a shot of the rear passenger side arch
is it 40mm, 60mm, etc???
Cheers

i would say that is 40-50mm mate,
wat size tyres are those??
my car on standard 14inch Gsi alloys with 165/60 tyre is about a inch of the rear arch and the Gsi's are about 15mm low as standard, so if it was lowered by another 25mm (1 inch) it would look like yours with total of about 40mm lowered

just tap out the metal arch a little bit like 1-2mm and it should be fine, not too much or the plastic arch wont sit flush

i have this problem lowered on FK coilovers.
thinking of changing the bushes on the rear beam as its the only thing that hasent been replaced.
there was a creeking sound coming form the back when i sat in the car before i changed the suspension and its still there so this has to be the bushes

yeah bushes could give a slight left and right motion, but every corsa is different the rear beam can differ on each side by a few mm

its defo got more space on the passenger side thats for sure so i think ur right about the beam it seems to be a few mm's over to one side!
Any ideas on how to cure this?

mine did this when i had 17's so i stuck some longer bumpstops in teh rear shocks, then i lowered it 60mm and could carry a fullc ar without it scrubbing.

not being funny, but your car cant be a 1.6 or it has the wrong brakes on it cos the min wheel size for the 1.6 brakes is 14".

that is exactly whats happening to it!!!!
As for my brakes ur right they are 1.4 spec i really dont know why i took it to vauxhall tho and they have confirmed that it is a 1.6 car but for sum reason the wrong spec brakes have been fitted to it, and i can only presume this is how it came from the factory i wasnt pleased either!
Now back to suspension what the hell are bumpstops and where do they go on the rear cause there are no shocks just the springs?!

bumpstops are inside the shocks, its stops them bottoming out. just put longer ones in.
they reduce the suspention travel thats all, nothing technical about doing it.

ive been watching the telly for the past 2 hrs wondering this
id think ya'd have to undo the top of the shock and lower the rear beam enough to get the bumpstop over it
