Not long after I got my corsa, I took the centre console apart to change a bulb that had blown. I was doing really well, and then one of the damn screws fell down through the heater vents.
Every now and then I can hear it rattling around inside the dash 
How can I get to it? I think it sounds like it's rolling around behind the radio / ash tray area 
Car is a 97 B Sport and I have no problems taking the dash apart if needed

tie a small magnet on a piece of string and that should get it out.

i lost a heater control knob down mine, its still there 2 years later lol.

well make sure the magnet is attached properly!
only other option is to strip down the heater system fully
