Ive got a set of 17's that are offset 38 my mates dad reckons that in his machine shop at work they kind grind them to any offset i want like 45 or summat is this possible as i dont won't to shag them up.

if i was you i wouldnt grind them any more than 3mm which will = ET41 just from a safety point of view

as above, its not recommended to go any more than 3mm, otherwise you are weakening the boltface too much

y noyt grind them 2mm then use 5mm spacers=et 45 n ur sorted!!

Because spacers push the wheel OUT!!!!!

if u had a ET38 wheel, ground 2 mm off to make ET40 then added a 5 mm spacer you would end up with ET35 which is loads worse!!!!!

Spacers push the wheel out, not make it sit further in, they decrease the offset rather than increase
