Wot you guys reckon to the 306 1.8xs, worth gettin one?, how tunable?
Only group 6 insurance, (i'm on a budget so no telling me to get a skyline, evo or anything stupid like that instead).

im also looking into getting one of these but im considering a megane coupe or a astra g 1.6 16v sport aswell.
id say look into what else there is aswell cos im still drawn towards a corsa 1.6 (i have a 1.0 at the moment)

1.8xs are nice cars. Pretty fast (not overly), look sweet and handle like on rails. Some are pretty well equpped, depending on what the original buyer went for in terms of option packs.
Dont expect mega performance tho, they are pretty gutless over about 70mph, which is where tuned Dturbos tend to eat them

Yeah, over about 70/75 the 306 DT's piss all over them.
But you shouldn't be going over 70 anyway

may as well get the td or hdi, they are much better than the 1.8.
