it dont play CD-r/rw's anymore!!???
its a good Alpine model, 3 years old now
only plays original cd's now ever since i used a lens cleaning cd in it??
any advice/recomendations??

i think it may have got clogged up when you used the cleaner.
what kind of cleaner did you use? cos some are really shit

i used a HMV cd-lens cleaner?? it had 8 brushes (i think) , was pretty good quality, cost me a tenner!!

just put it in again a few times. maybe ittle clean it better. then it might work again.

is it definetly a CD/RW compatiable headunit? if it isnt then its been known for the lasers to no longer play them after a period of use because the laser is actually put under a much larger workload when playing copies....dunno how or why but if it aint compatiable from the box then it will eventually refuse to play them!
if it is compatiable then potentially u have damaged the laser or sumhow knocked it out of sync.....hard to believe i know but anythings possible!
