Personally i can listen to anything, apart from shite like slipknot and stuff like that where someone just shouts into a mic to hide up the fact they cant vocally keep a key or have any vocal harmonics whats so ever
however, im liking this Armin van Buuren bloke...never heard of him before (which odd since i produce trance/dance music ), but its all good
As for Dj'ing, aye its propper heard...but there are different levels of DJ'ing - from the simple (ish) beatmatching and mixing songs, to creating whole new versions live using sample CDs, acapella's etc etc And i agree that its a skill, although i dont think its near as hard as producing a song from scratch, since you have got nothing to start from when your creating a track (ie: no melody or bass line, beat etc) Where as, when creating live, you have samples, beats, acapellas etc.
