How much is a bit & how light? Focal make 5" subs which can be fitted anywhere ie. glove box.
dont really understand this weight savin thing on a road car too much...r u using this car on tracks too?
maybe those really flat subwoofers but ive 4gotten who makes them.

Maybe he means light soundwise, ie, enough bass, but not so much that you can hear more bass than treble?

he means lighweight im sure
If u want some decent bass with litttle weight, try a couple of JL 8W0's.
Put one in each rear door card, they will be plenty.
Quite cheap to, about £70 each.

personally mate, i would either go for some 5" comps, which way hardly anything and amp them up and it will sound pretty good or go down the 6x9 route and amp them up also

5" comps..., if u want bassy comps u need 6.5" comps, but still they wont be anything special. Focal Polykevlar comps are quite bassy, but cost a fair whack at £270 - £650
if u want really light then 6" subs are better than nothing, and dont use crappo 6x9/s.

how much you got mate ???
I would say a single 10" W3 will do the job.. amp it fully (DONT cut corners) and yuo will be rewarded with some super bass

right depends on your budget m8.
Theres plenty of room to build a box on the back of your door card so thats not a problem.
The subs are a 4 ohm load, and are 75w rms each.
Really therefore u want a good brand amp with a good 100w rms a channel at 4 ohm.
If u can afford it i reccomend an Audison LRX 2.250 at £330.
If u cant afford it, a Genisis Profile Two wud just about do it, at £199.99.
