Im gonna start on sprayin my interior tmoz what paint and sand paper do i need and how long would ay a dial surround take to complete

agreed..... the more you sand down the better result you will get so try and get its as smooth as possible b4 spraying
start with quite an abrasive paper and work your way through
Don't rush and jobs a good un!

so then primer then sand again then primer again or first coat then laquer

rite, you will need plastic primer and then whateva colour u want it, then the laquer goes on top of that to bring a shine to it

ok get the bit off first. use something like a 240 wet and dry to start. if you use something too abrasive. you will have trouble getting the scratches out.
rub it down till its smooth as you can, ideally it should be like glass but dont wory to much. thoroughly clean it and dry it properly.
spray a thin coat of plastic primer 1st, then a couple of thicker ones. let them dry, then smooth it with some 800 or 1000 w&d.
one more coat of primer. should now be dead smooth.
apply the colour using thin coats, so as not to get any runs. when your happy laquer it. easiest way is do one very thin coat, then a heavy coat. should come out ok, if not sand it back down, apply more colour and laquer

imo you don't have to sand it down first. On mine I just left the original texture of the plastic.

fuck sanding it, no one heard of high build primer. scuff it up with scotch brite, and then high build primer it, with wet and dry inbetween.
the same finnish in half the time, and np cramp

you can use filler primer which saves on sanding, but ther more sanding udoing the more professional it will b
