can u put astra GTE springs with corsa shocks? cos i dont wana buy coilovers straight away!

You can get 2.0 16v springs from Cossvaux. Though. I think if you were to have the back of the car lowered 40 mm then you might get away with standard front springs as those engines are pretty heavy. Not sure about using Astra springs as the weight of an Astra is a bit more than on a Corsa making the front ride high

dont use standard springs,  what plonker said that, if defo wont go round corners.
just get some gsi or td lowering springs, closest you will get without getting special 2l ones.

ive already got uprated springs but they are for 1.4 thats y i want to get some 2 litre ones to cope with the Xtra weight of engine! anyone know for sure?

One easy option would be coilovers with 300-325lb springs. The 2 1/4" coilover springs go for around £12-£15 each so if your not happy you could soon change...

mine is lowered 40mm dean when i put the 2.0l 8v in it dropped an extra 5mm when i took that out and put in the 16v i lifted a tiny amount(2-3mm) so you dont need to upgrade unless your runnin standered gear but no matter what you run i wont go round cornners quick enough for you the way you drive ha ha

Jusa dont wana fork out for coilovers maybe jus get some dammping adjustables for the front and higher poundage springs! as i think my front ones are fooked anyway!

i just done a 2,0 16v conversion and i got standard shocks and springs and u can still give it some round corners mate so just leave it for a while till u got some cash or buy the td ones as they r a bit stronger

i had standard shox/springs on mine n it handled crap as there was loads of bodyroll n everytime i braked the front end tried to dig into the road

when i was running the eibach/koni setup i felt it was to loose at high speed,the eibachs being pretty soft.
with standard shox/springs it's gonna be very soft and pretty ropey at high speeds.
not recommended really, and most likely not valid for insuring with a 2 litre in,i just got my renewal and all the companies i tried asked was the suspension and brakes uprated.
drive a 2 litre with correct suspension and you will appriciate the difference, I also value my life and others so wouldn't run under spec suspension or recommend anyone else to.
rimstyle do fk good deals on fk highsport coilovers btw,mine were £370.

ive got uprated suspension already jus dont know if the springs were gona handle all the Xtra power and ive heard about the talk of higher poundage springs!! im sure ill sort some coilovers soon though
