thinking of buying a car which has low mileage but has been superchiped. Does it bsically cause more fuel to be injected? would this shorten the life of the engine and would it not be a good idea to buy a car that has one?
the engine is a 2.0 16v if that helps.
any info will be appreciated

ive heard it halfs the life of a turbo so i should think it will put stress on a injection aswell depends how long its been fitted, if recent, should think it will have good years ahead

it wont do any damage, well if ya lucky, the superchip normally causes overfuelling at low rpm, this can cause bores wash, the extra fuel washes the protective coating of oil off the cylinder walls so ya might get a bit more wear,
