What does everyone think is the best air filter on the market?

I have a green cotton one at the mo, but am not that impressed to be honest - it doesn't roar like i here somes cars.

I heard the PVD BFO cone was pretty special but as PVD has ceased trading...

Bearing in mind my car is only a 1.2 16v Sxi - this will make a difference to the sound and performance compared to a larger engine won't it?

PVD have ceased trading?!?

The BFO cone will give you about as much noise as your gonna get out of an air filter, but it wont speed up your 1.2, in fact it will probably slow it down slightly.

For performance I would go for a Viper induction kit, although your not going to get much of a gain on 1.2 anyway...

yeah PVD has stopped trading apparently

as for the performance, I've about given up on the 1.2! I think the sound is most important to me now.

U recommend the BFO? what about K&N etc?

Yep, for sound alone its got to be the BFO.

K&N are good filters but you wont get the noise of a BFO.

For sound/size/looks/performance the Powetec Induction Kit is also a good option.

Have you got pics of the BMC air filter?
Does it exist a BMC carbonne air filter?
