Am looking to do the above, have sorted where to get an engine from but does anyone know, if the wirig loom is the same for 1.6 engine as an m reg 1.2... Spose it depens on age of engine, if so any recomendations on what type of engine to go 4.???

good engine choice... u'll need the loom, box ecu, evrything

I have a X16XE (sport 106 bhp standard) or u can get a C16XE (I think was in the early GSi's with 109bhp standard) both good engines and high tuning potential

GSI engine might be more powerful but most are getting on a bit Id go for a low milage 1.6 from a sport
