anyone got the stats on these ie 0-60 and 0-100, i quite fancy trading in my clio172 for one of these as i feel it will take the 20k per year im doing a bit better than the clio, also what kinda times do they set when they have had the remap? ie with 180-200bho and 225lb/ft of torque im guessing this would be quicker than my current 172,
any help much appreciated

off the mark it will probably not be much different to the Clio, but its when you put your foot down in 4th on the motorway etc. that you will feel the difference.
Good strong engines, and the internals are good for 300bhp im lead to beleive, although the turbo probably isnt up to the job...
with 20k a year mileage id buy an old deisel and keep the Clio for the weekend

IF you had to run just one car though, id probably take the Golf as 20k miles a year is ALOT for a little french hot hatch

iv seen that vid and to be fair the clio had a shit start, im only looking to run one car so buying another isnt a possibility, i love the clio and yes its quite fats off the mark but it doesnt seem to quick when your already going and 20k a year will kill the clio and also i feel lose so much of the money i paid for it, id also be tempted by a ibiza cupra same engine but possibly a better/sportier car? my dilema is i cant go higher than a grp 16 car but id like somethign quite quick and it must have air con any suggestions? id also very much like a turbo

Get the Golf GT TDi with a chip, its faster than the clio and the petrol GTi and if your doing 20k+ a year is going to save you loads in running costs

i dont really think the tdi is an option as from what iv seen your looking at around £7.5k min for a good un then another £500-£1000 to tune it so it well over budget whereas a golf 1.8t is around £6-£6.5k and then £500 to chip but it so true the saving in fuel alone would be noticeable

get a golf 1.8t 180bhp jobber. 7.4 secs 0-60 I think.
Ex ex bird has one. Stook a carbonio CAI on it - apparently good for 10-16bhp.
Fairly fast too.
