hi nath

the way i did it was just to sand off the ecotec and then to rub down the whole ebgine cover with normal sand paper.

then clean it with a metherlated spirit (purple stuff)
dry it

go over it with 800 grit till smooth
the 2 coats of primer

1600 grit it all over till smoothe

maybe another coat if needed and then grit down.

then ya paint, maybe 2 goats and then 1600 grit down again and then 2 coats of laquer

thats how i did it but therea loads of other ways.

when you use the grit, for extra smoothness soak the sand paper for a couple of minutes.

leave the primer to dry for 24 hours too and the final laquer for 36 hours.

thats about it.
