i need a power and ground wires that can handle 1200watts or 1000watts atleast am told i need 4 guage.... this true? where to buy? and does AWG mean guage?

ok cool.

right next thing is... i have a reel of some wire i *cough* found at a scrap yard was wondering if i could use it and if it woudl be powerfull enough. its pretty thick stuff its roughly 10mm stick with gold wires in the centre the rubber surround is like 2mm thick so the wiring in the centre is actually 6mm thick but all in all its 10mm thick if your all with me? lol done some pics...

ah right, that roll i hgave in the pics above ^^^ ive used that now and it seems abit better, its just when i turn my car on its not as loud when i drive its even more less louder. im thinking i need a alt upgrade + maybe battery......
