Phoned up insurers today and asked them how much extra they would charge me for putting in an induction kit. The woman I spoke to said they won't insure anything that has anything i.e. an induction kit fitted or anything that increases performance, acceleration etc which is shit ! I also enquired about alloy wheels, and she said they could do that as long as they r the same size as the manufacturers originals !!!!!

my insurers r cheap tho only £450 fully comp with 0 years ncb which I thought was a bargain !!. Yeah I think I might drill the air box, I'm really after a bit more noise. Is it easy to do, and how long would it take ?

if u drill above the filter (u wont unless ur backwards or puegot nut) then youll have dirty air getting in, and if u drill the right hand side, you'll have hhot air going in cos its next to the engine you see..

dont drill it, theres a piece on the bottom you can take off, you can put it back on for mot etc and get a cotton panel filter just say it lasts longer which it does

Yeah that is true, my insurers said they won't allow any induction kit or anything that increases performance, acceleration etc
What difference would it make if I put a new air filter inside the air box ? Would this produce more noise ? and would it increase performance in any way ?
