i had shit loads of spyware on my computer at home so I decided I would reformat the damn thing.

Ive got windows installed again (clap now) but somehow my display adaptor driver isnt installed. so my screen has only 16 colours and a screen area of 640 x 480.

does anyone know what i need to do to have proper colours and 800 x 600?

please help

you need to install video card drivers, do you have a standalone card, or onboard video?

or download the right drivers for ur gfx card

windows update should see what card u have and update it

i cant the only colours in the drop down menu is 16 and the bar for the screen size wont drag, just sticks on 640 x 480

same happened to me until i ran the system cd i got with the computer then it allowed me to choose the correct colours n size etc

should be able to get them ther - or.....

ctrl panel - system - hardware - device manager - display adapter - double click on it - and update drivers
