i got mine for £25 n got free axle stands, halfords again.

yeh halfords or argos.... a jack is a jack .... axel stands are axel stands.

not true, if you get a cheap one the lowering nut will leak and let the car down slowly as its stood. get a desent one.

whereas axel stands, as long as they are from a reputable supplier are axle stands

i've just got a 2tonne jobber from halfords which came with free axle stands.
does the job whenever it's needed, but i'd occasionly like it to go a bit higher.


may invest in a bus jack one day

a trolly jack is pointless unless you do a fair bit of work at home.... feck lugging it around in the back of your car

i used to use a scissor jack till it tryed to kill me(car fell it was messy)i lugg my trolley one around with me now.

Which is why you don't leave it on the jack!
