Whats the main difference between carbon fibre and stainless stell back boxes? Apart from the obvious look.

Carbon fibre will melt/expand/burst into flames Stainless wont.

u cant weld carbon.. obviously, so u cant weld brackets to it if u get a universal one... stainless are therefore easier to fit

You don't need to be able to weld every single joint in the exhaust system. You'll notice that all of the pipes on the hexhaust are actuall bolted together or clamped together.
