just wandering should i have the LPF and HPF on , on the HU im using the the 3db bit on the crossover for the tweeters but there a tiny bit crackly

drop it down 3db on the crossovers and then make sure your HU is flat ie: - no increase in bass or treble, or any other fancy eq stuff
If you have a sub, then its recommended that you have a cut or something, like on my pioneer i can set my comps with a 80Hz cut or not

80Hz is ok if you have a sub set around 80Hz, but really you want to amp the comps and set the filter to 70 odd Hz!

aye, but without farting around, 80Hz will be ok Or if your HU preouts dont go through the HU's EQ (most of them dont) then leave the cut off and drop the bass down a few notches.
