Ok, i just bought my gsi off a m8, when he replaced the radio the center display (time, date, temp) went dead except when i turn on the lights. the clock starts at normaly date, and no temp is displayed.

any suggestions?

You normally lose the centre section when you replace the radio although there's a wire which you can snip which will show date all the time. You can also get adapters to make use of the standard display with an aftermarket radio. Temp shouldn't ever disappear though, you may have a faulty unit.

Well it was working fine before he he put in the radio, nver bothered him so he never did anyting bout it. was thinking bout just replacing the unit with one out of a crashed 1l, but said i would ask here first.

are they hard to replace?

it doesnt work when you turn the light on or is it when you have the light off.

i thought mine were broke for months but i just had the dimmer wheel turned all the way down
