then got this 2day:
Dear David Bevan,
Thank you very much for this response and for the
present conditions of this item that you have stated
so far.
If that is your last price for this item no more
hangling than to have your full details in which to
send the payment to you asap so that we can proceed on
this transactions and thereafter my shipper can come
for the pick up in your location.
I will be looking forward to see your full
informations as for the payment such as,
Your full name,
Your contact address,
Your phone number both the land line and your mobile
number.
All these are expected to see from you asap so that i
can forward it to my client to issue out the check to
you asap and there after my shipper can then come for
the pick up.
Hopefully to read from you as i need your sincerity
and utmost good faith.
Best regards,
Mrs Jean.
again, it sounds jus wierd
had a thought about it, if i give him my address, yes he will send a cheque, but then again, he/she will also send along a courier, who wil want 2 take the parts, no doubt, this cheque will bounce and the parts will be gone!!
so was thinkin, i email him, saying i will only disclose my home address and telephone no's one i have recieved the cheque and it has cleared into my account. i could do this by, A: settin up a PO box, or B: gettin the cheque sent 2 my dads work address (stchristophers hospice). then i will arrange collection of parts with the courier?
if he doesnt agree with that then il jus cut the deal?
wot u reckon?

Does sound wierd tbh. I agree with it not sounding like proper english. Get her to send the cheque to your dads work, make sure it clears then they can pick them up. Nothing can go wrong then

Yeah mate.. sounds dodgy as fuck to me!...
My mate had one very similar to this after advertising his astra.. seems like some sort of computer-generated email.
I'd suugest getting him to send a postal order, oreven cash, recorded delivery..
Otherwise, forget it and wait for a more genuine offer.

right, was thinkin of sending this:
hi, thanks for your email.
due to this being an internet transaction you can understand me being weary due to the large sum of money we are dealing with. i am only willing to continue the deal on these grounds:
you either:
- send a cheque to my fathers WORK address, where it will be passed onto me and i will cash it to my bank account. I will only disclose my home and landline telephone number one the funds have cleared into my account. I will supply you with my mobile number.
or
you send cash or a postal order via special recorded delivery to my home address. we will then arrange your courier to come and collect the items.
i will only continue the deal on these terms, if you find you cannot abide by them, then i will seek another buyer.
you also talk about your 'client'. are you a business sourcing parts for other people? where are you based?
thankyou for your interest
dave
