No the one on the HDD, if you turn it around, it was that board that caught fire.

you mean, the actually circuit board on the HD went up in smoke?
never heard of that before, luckily you could get it replaced....i would have thought it would have been easier to just bin the drive and get another

Yes the board on the HD. Computer Plus had a broken drive in there shop so they swoped the board and gave me it back.

This happened to my dads PC when he had a power surge. Fried a few capacitors on the mobo and burnt out the HDD circuit board
