had 1.6/16v unichipped but only 96bhp@wheels but they should be 106bhp standard, before chip it was only 86! what wrong plese help!!

106bhp is a flywheel measurement, figures at the wheels are the power the car's actually putting onto tarmac. The "missing" energy is transformed through the transmission, etc.

so does this mean that it isn't down on power? an what else can i do with 300squid to make it quicker i was thinkin along the line off cams, what do u guys think???

Seems like it's running fine - for £300 try and get hold of a Velos inlet manifold. Easy enough to fit and ideal if you've got a Unichip (altho it will need another session of remapping).

Defo change the inlet manifold for another 20bhp.
You generally lose about 15% through the transmission, giving around 110bhp, which is good.
