I'm looking at getting bt yahoo 1mb broadband. Is anyone on this? it looks like quite a good deal reduced from £40.99 to £29.99. apparently its 20 x faster than standard dial up instead of the normal bt broadband that is 10 x faster? Is it worth the extra £5 a month?

you're comparing apples with oranges mate.

BT Openworld offers the 512k line at £19.99 (10x faster than a 56k dialup). They also do the £27.99 1mb line (which I have) which, as you say is 20x faster than dialup.

I'd go with Openworld mate, never had any troubles with them myself. fast as fook as well.

Downloaded a track just now in about 20 seconds!

standard pricing is £20 for 512k and £30 for 1mb.

This is pretty much standard no matter who you go with... BT, AOL etc..

As of 6th September, the noise-level limits for ADSL are relaxed (ie. if you were refused a faster-line previously, ask your ISP about upgrading some time after the 6th).

i agree with welshsxi that the download limit is a bit small, but unless you download movies then you should be ok

The main thing I use it for is browsing the internet, email and downloading images, alot of the emails I get have files attached, but they aren't generaly huge, don't download movies at all. hopefully it should be ok :S
