thinkin of moving my dials onto dash board, inc speedo, to put a 5.1/2 screen into where the dials are now, as above

as long as there are working dials within view from drivers seat it's legal.

Borderline unlawful... can't view a video screen whilst driving, not sure if its still illegal to have a screen within the view of the driver, but imagine this has been amended due to advent of sat nav...

wasnt planin on havin screen on whilst drivin, just thought might bee a sound mod, yes all the dials would be in gud view of me(the driver) like the speeedo being on the tray where the mfd would be and the rest on the passenger side of dash, cheers for help!

Your not allowed the screen to be on whilst driving as it is a "distraction" to the driver.

a lot of cars don't have dials in front of driver seat but in the middle of the dash...(Renault cars for example...Mégane,Espace,etc)
