If you want to get anywhere with computers nowadays there is no point doing an academic qualification.

Commercal qualifications are more sought after...

WORD!

I did 3 useless years at college doing stuff I already knew at 17. IF anything it was a prep course for people watning to go into uni.

But hey if you want to make it you can, I'm 19, hardly any qualifications working as a junior network engineer in central london

Now the real training will begin, once I'm up to speed with all the operations my boss wants to put me through CCNA (hopefully) and I'm going to push for some Sun Microsystem courses afterwards.

live the dream.

I did that btec course, and the one below it. Waste of time, and you come off as someone with a clue so I suggest you stay way clear of it.

Though I'm not sure an MCSE is any better.

I did that course 3 years ago, but left after the first year

total waste of time if you're not doing it to get into Uni, teachers are crap, you don't even do any work, just doss about on the internet

Which is why I'm redoing it this year

It's equivalent to 3 A-Levels, and I want to go to Uni.
