hi u lot
mates just bought c16xe on throttle bodies (sbd tapered with MBE management) and its blue smoking slightly under hard acceleration. any ideas what this could be. its currently using 10w/40 mineral oil (supposedly - dipstick shows it being a funny shade of red)
thought it might be either piston rings or valve stem seals, is there anything else it could be?
cheers

Should use 15w/40 Semi-Syn oil rather than mineral oil... I'd agree with you on the valve stem seals or piston rings though. The only way to find out is to pull the head off and have a poke around...

Think i need new stem seals, and new tappets, means taking the head off, new head bolts, gaskets etc, new cam belt. I could get it done for around 300 through a mate, power crazy quoted me around 400 mark.
