its just about controlling ya life they way u want it to be.
i dont have any probs with ppl drinking, smoking or drugs, i just chose not to do them. i chose to live my life with out drinking and stuff and the amount of money i hav saved by doin this has helped me modding ma car.. but to be honest Straight Edge is alot to do with the music scene rather thn not drinking and what not..
i'll prob get slated off sum ppl on here but i dont care cos i live my life the way i want and u live urs the way u do and i dont complain

Its more to do with respect for yourself and other people.
There was also a large STD outbreak at the time - it was best not to sleep around to start with.

not gonna slate u...respect to...every1 has thier own views etc, mine are to do what i want when i want, i choocse not to do drugs if others want to they can, as long as it dont affect me. but i will however i do eat red meats and drink alcohol because i enjoy it!

i know of ppl tht turn to sxe as either sumone they knew or in there family was an alcholic. different ppl hav differnet reasons y they do it.

The main rules are No Drink, No Drugs, No Fucking around. All the things your parents warn you about. All the things that typical people of our age do.
I refrain from the above cause I personally feel at this moment in time its the best thing for me.
I don't drink cause I don't like the way I act when I'm drunk. I don't smoke cause it kills you, and I don't do drugs cause they've never appealed to me.
