Right currently i have a single JL12W3-V2 and i want dual 12" subs.
The rest of my install is focal/audison, so do i...
1) Get a second 12W3V2
2) Sell my JL and buy 2 of these Focal Polyglass subs

Anyone heard the focals, how do they compare to the JL's?

From hearing the comps they arent going to be shit subs!
And if you want to stand out in the crowd, go for the Focal's as not many people have them.
JL is getting a tad too popular among installs nowadays

A friend of mine just got a similar focal sub (dont know model number of hand) but it was slightly cheaper and tbh it sounds abit cack. Well not cack, but not what you expect, and he is abit pissed off with it tbh
Although he said, he listened to a few other models, especially the Utopia 33WX and he said they were bloody amazing but he then said they were 700 quid each
but from what he was saying mate, it sounded like you need to spend abit (like with comps) to get something decent

Yeah the Access subs look similar but are single coil.
Im not after volume really, my current sub is too loud at low notes and doesnt sound integrated into the rest of the sound.
If the 2 Focals were as loud as the 1JL but more musical id be happy.
There must be noticable differences to the sound as JL is a bit of a SPL/SQ range and focal is a pure SQ brand.
