got my 1.6 16v fitted, with velos, unichip, k&n, exhaust and it runs fine but after a while the ecu light comes on and the idle rev speed varies between 750 and 1500rpm!!!
anyone have a similar problem? or anyone no whats wrong?
also got the fault code of an:
it says Idle Air Control Valve

its the valve on the throttle body mate, easy to get to on ur car with the velos. whats it go like? prop is that valve costs a bit of money i belive!

oh sorry the error code is :
Idle Air Control Valve voltage, checked all wiring etc but still it idles abit rough but only sometimes at completely random times

deffo the idle control valve then matey, on the throllte body, little black thing on the body itself....ull see it when u look

You can try cleaning them, they are about £60 from Vaux, try www.autovaux.co.uk though.
As said its on the throttle body itself, make sure you dont confuse it with the throttle position sensor though.

ok guys cheers ill have a look at weekend, oh will the 1.4 ICV be the same as the 1.6 one?

im gettin same probz on me 1.2 8v, broster where is the icv on the 1.2 8v engine? and how can i clean it?

id guess at saying on the throttle body still and thats easy to get to on the 1.2 8v aswell
