Think I may have a virus. My computer periodically disconnects from the net and I have to restart to get back on.
To try and solve it I bought Norton 2005 today but it wont install, and when I go to either Symantec or McAfee sites it says this page cannot be displayed.
I've run a Panda online virus scan which removed 7 viruses but didnt solve the installing Norton problem. I've tried a Symantec one but it says there is some kind of problem with ActiveX but everything is set up as should be.
What can I do to solve this?

www.trojanhunter.com
Check out the 30 day evaluation trial download.
I have Norton firewall and antivirus and on startup it kept finding some corrupt dll stuff and some other virus but cant remove the particular trojan, there is info on their site, but its a ball aching process to try and follow and it doesnt work anyway.
Downloaded this trojanhunter and it found 'prorat' trojan straight away and remived it by changing the files name. Fookin marvelous. Norton, is far from useful sometimes, and I always update the fucker.
