un-install the old msn? i dont know how 2do it. i would leave it be, but its signin me in automatically sometimes & pissin me off. if the answer is obvious i appologise - im a girl...

Control Pannel > Add Remove Programs > Click on MSN Messgenger version X > Click Add/Remove Program button.

I tried that, it only has my newest 1 there - which is msn 6.2, cant remember the old 1, but its not there

Windows messenger is what you want rid of then, I'm not sure you can delte that as it is a part of Windows XP - I managed to get rid of it somehow, but that was ages ago so I can't remember how...

boot into safe-mode

go into task-manager & check make sure MSMSGS.EXE process isnt running

goto C:\Program Files and delete the MSN Messenger folder (or Messenger)

ok so a few programs will complain, but then its gone gone & gone
