Properly gutted when I found out, been watching re-runs of The Fred Didnah Story on Sky recently, always remembering him saying he'd rather die by falling off a chimney one day than some disease

His enthusiasm was infectious and his shows were really informative and interesting if thats your kinda thing.

On the plus side he's just finished filming a new series(which was to be his last anyway) which is still to be released.

Hope it has "done for" on his grave
