A friend of mine is having major probs with her pc on and off the net can anyone help ?
When she starts the comp she gets this ---> Invalid Backweb application ID "7681197"
She just said this ---- > it jus makes msn go all funny, and I cant see ur words and stuff look ill take a print screen
ok no I cant open word, insufficient memory
Anyone ?

sounds like its really fudge...and i mean REALLY fudged
personally i would get her to just format her syste (obviously backup improtant stuff) and go with a fresh install

Try disc clean up? My computer and right click on hard drive and properties and then disc clean up. I had this, your PC uses hard disc space for virtual memeroy.

Yeah as Vis said sounds like its not going to be easy.

thing is, it could be anything from a virus, to spyware, to a dodgy driver, to a corrupt driver, to a corrupt disk...fudged this and that. Would take you quite awhile to find out whats causing it as ive never heard of a backweb error
although by all means get her to do the usual virus, spyware scan and see what happens But after that mate and its still fudged, i would get her to format and reinstall

CHEERS GUYS
She just said this -- jus say ive got spyware added, every virus program, trojan hunter, all clear but when I did have viruses it said it couldnt get rid as it was located in the archive folder

boot into safe mode and delete them that way, or hunt the file down and delete youself. If it doesnt allow access, then you have to boot the computer into command prompt from start up (press F8 during loading) and then delete that way
