I thought my boss was joking when he asked if I wanted to buy a raffle ticket to win his luxury flat worth over £200,000. The raffle tickets are £50 and there are 5000 to be sold. He is obviously in it for the profit but it doesnt sound bad when you think that you have a 5000-1 chance of winning the flat for £50. What you guys rekon? Should I buy a ticket or not??

so he is making £50000 profit then working that out...

wouldnt bother & send an 'anonymous' memo out saying the same...

for all you know there could be many things wrong with it...

luxury could also mean instead of having just a bucket to piss in, you have a wall too

Ive seen the flat and it certainly is luxurious!! Its on the banks of the River Tyne in the centre of Newcastle next to all the trendy night spots (far enough away tho so you wouldnt get disturbed). He rekons the flat is worth approx £220,000 and will therefore make £30,000 on it. I cant help but keep thinking that my £50 ticket could win it and Id have my very own luxury pad lol

There is a clause on the raffle, if 4000 tickets arnt sold then the raffle is not for the flat but for the money less 5% instead. So if he only got 3000 people you stand to win £142,500
