Hi,

A bought a universal back box for my Corsa B a while ago.

I asked on here at the time what I should expect to pay for fitting, a few people said not to pay more than £40..

Ive finally managed to get through to Ascar, they quoted me £65 all in.. is that expensive?

It's a universal backbox - it's not as straightforward as just attaching it to the end of the system as you could do with a rear silencer designed for the Corsa.

You'll just have to ring around exhaust fitters to see what they'll charge - there's no set rate, so you might get lucky.

If its universal it could be a right bastard to to fit and need a fair bit of welding, pipe bending etc to get to fit nicely.

I wouldn't have thought anywhere sensible would quote without looking at the job first.

yup think about it, pay £90 for a uni backbox then £65 for fitting, thats a £155 total.

Why not buy a direct fit one that will cost fuck all to fit and save some cash?

I payed £130 for Powerflow to supply and fit a universal backbox for mine.... well, they made it up from scratch like they usually do, but theoretically it was universal cause it could have gone on any car .
