hey ...
I'm struggling to get my wire clamps onto my yellow top in a corsa b. This is because one is earthed to the frame at the top of the engine compartment with a short brown earth wire.
Would it be a really bad idea to remove this earth? (possible stupid question I know)
Or any possible solutions?
Thanks
Tim

it's hard to explain ..
the yellow top is larger than a standard battery. so when it's in place you can only get the positive clamp over the terminal. the negative clamp won't reach the terminal because one of the earth wires connected to it is connected to the chassis (the earth wire is too short) ..
... hopefully that makes it a bit easier to understand

do you think it would be ok to put in the battery before all my ice is connected up? ... my car is stripped at the moment cos I'm dynamatting it in my free time then running the wires
