No, im not talking about the price, but the actual pumps.
Now, how many people actually pay attention to them. You can hear when the petrol is flowing into the tank and you can see the display. I was listening earlier at my local BP and before i even heard the petrol coming through the display was over 70p. So, thats 70p i have paid for no fuel at all. The minute you squeeze the trigger it starts charging you yet you are not getting fuel for it. What a fucking rip off, as if it isnt expensive enough as it is. Next time you fill up, listen closely and watch the dial. Might take a can that holds 2 litres and go by the display, see if it is actually 2 litres to test this.

Apparently the pumps are monitored for accuracy, i was reading a sticker on the pump today........you ought to try out your theory though.

How do we know they are tested though? This is my point, how many people actually take notice if they are getting the fuel they are paying for?

I've never had a problem.

Consistantly get the same MPG so must be getting the correct fuel.

He means it registered 0.00p but no fule cam out till it pumped 70ps worth.

I've had this happen before, they must have been running low. so I pumped 70L in to a 50L tank went in and got it free after some who'ing and har'ing.

When you stop pumping, you get most of that bit left in the pipe, beause I've spilt this down myself or down my car countless times. Kinda evens out.
