can u use anything other then the release key? seem to have lost mine, atm installing my sub and amp and need to get behind it to adapt RCA.

what head unit, can get them from halfords or any audio shop

yea, just get a thin peice of metal, done it many times, its just to wedge the spring locking mechanism apart, should be ok

you might be able to but i wouldnt force it if the knife is too thick, not worth ruining the cage

jus went halfords and the geezer inside said he would let me use his tools and stuff outside halfords, and help me out if i come to any difficulty.

Butter knife for aftermarket head units or a couple of pieces of coat hanger for OEM ones.
