I wanna put on a new chrome gear knob....but im unsure how I remove the old one...
i really dont wanna cut it off....can it come off by twisting&pulling?
and will it effect my reverse gear pull-up thingy..?
thanks!

everyone says its really hard.. i guess it depends how lucky you are. i did mine when it was warmer, so you might need to warm up the gearstick a bit, but basically just pull and twist the bugger off, and it comes off. then the reverse pull up thingy just stays attached, so you need a gear knob that is reverse lift compatible (basically it has a whole for the reverse lift thing to go up into)
hope this helps!

yeah, they are called Lift-Reverse, just takes brute force to get it off, chances are you will pull off the outer leathery gearnob, bu the internal bit will stick, this may be where you need to get the mole grips out and twist the fucker off.
